Hold an event at our Farm!
We have a beautiful building on our farm that has been used for yoga classes, meditation retreats, concerts, and other workshops. We also have a fire pit nearby that could be used for ceremonies and, outside of our peak busy season, we are open to hosting other outdoor events.
If you are interested in finding out more about the community studio and its possible uses, contact us. Also, check the NEWS page and our facebook page for information on upcoming events.

WILD SALMON CARAVAN – Who are we?
https://www.facebook.com/wildsalmoncaravan/
Following the grassroots leadership of the Working Group on Indigenous Food Sovereignty (WGIFS), the Salish Council of Matriarchs, and regional planning teams, the Wild Salmon Caravan 2017 will be traveling from Vancouver to Adams River during the week of October 7 to the 12th.
The WSC 2017 is calling on individuals, artists, organizations and communities who have nurtured historical cultural and ecological relationships with wild salmon over thousands of years to host arts and cultural events in the time building up from now throughout the spring and summer of 2017.
The project will culminate in wrap up events in communities during the week of October 7 – 12, 2017, when the WSC will visit both rural and urban communities in the following Coast and Interior Salish territories. We are calling on the Vancouver Island, coastal and northern communities to self-organize and join us for Mardi Gras Style parades, feasts, ceremonies, performances and public education events in any or all of the following communities.
Vision
Expand our identity to bring together the Rainbow Nation (people of all creeds and cultures) to educate, inform, and transform the darkness surrounding the industrial storm that is endangering wild salmon, our most important Indigenous food, cultural and ecological keystone species.
The WSC is providing a powerful dignified model of Indigenous and non-Indigenous women, children, families and communities coming together to celebrate the spirit of wild salmon.
Intention
Celebrate the spirit of wild salmon through the arts and culture. Nurture the creative energy that wild salmon have inspired through the ages. Affirm inter-tribal relationships that are the foundation of Indigenous trade and fisheries knowledge systems.
Community Agreements
Appreciate and highlight ways that Indigenous communities are addressing issues impacting wild salmon and their habitat.
Foster connections between us all through compassionate dialogue – compassion births patience, trust, healing and learning.
Come together to create a critical path of knowledges and experiences in regular meetings. Recognize biases and subjective nature of Indigenous ways of knowing.
Foster deeper understanding and sensitivity to the diverse cultures, paradigms, opinions, and socio-political realities of Indigenous peoples in the 4th world.
Flex our ability to discuss and make time to reflect on diverse opinions when difficult issues arise. Keep the circle open.
Find a place of forgiveness in our relationships of challenge across diversity of opinions. Mistakes prove we were trying, mistakes are inevitable.
